Chess Mentoring uses chess instruction and mentoring as tools to strengthen literacy, leadership, academic scores, and interest in STEM-related careers for youth. The purpose of the program is to target youth ages 7 – 18, and provide a hybrid instructional approach using chess and literacy and strengthen their leadership, social, academic, and interpersonal skills by providing an exclusive, safe, on-line environment for members and their parents. In addition, we work with advanced and excelling chess players with the potential to compete on a national and international level, and to receive chess scholarships. Our Chess Scholars Program is an exclusive instructional tool.

Start a Team
Chess Mentoring League is seeking partnerships with schools, after school programs, and community-based organizations that has youth that may be interested in being mentored through chess. Our team will work with our partnering organizations and/or schools to establish their team. As long as the partner can provide volunteers to administrative task necessary to run the team, there will be no cost to setup the team in the league. Although, there is a cost per child to participate in the league, our team will work to help the youth’s family to apply for grants to assist with offsetting the program cost.

Baltimore Chess Developers BCD) is a program developed by its parent company, Gemini Mind Productions, Inc. The purpose of BCD is to strengthen the leadership, social, academic, and interpersonal skills of young people in an enriching, safe environment.
Our Chess Team consists of highly skilled professional individuals who have years of experience working with children in educational and social programs. We recognize that the art of chess is a highly stimulating, intellectual, creative thinking, and problem-solving process that young people transfer into other areas of their social and academic development. We believe that chess fosters positive self-esteem, interest in the STEM academic areas, sharpens critical awareness, and employs strategies of critical thinking, planning, and understanding consequences to decisions. Furthermore, chess is an international sporting competition that generates prestige and awards.
The B.E.M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M. Network provides STEAM integration services, which includes programs and outreach initiatives provided by 5Starr Enterprise. B.E. M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M. stands for (Bringing Everyone More Relevant Experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Our network is design to make Science Technology, Engineering and Math Relevant using different engaging platforms. We discovered the importance of showcasing the projects and objectives learned through the various programs to help build confidence and to enforce an entrepreneur spirit.
We serve the population ages ranging from 5 to 18 years. Our focus is helping youth combat the challenging circumstance Baltimore youth are faced with.

The mission of Restoring the Village Project (RTV) is to bridge the gap in the community amongst the residents, existing organizations and community leaders in our city by acting as a liaison. We are committed to being a vital piece to the community by offering and/or supporting resources and plans that will move us forward.
